21 Day Fix - Day 3

Operation 50 Day 3

It is windy, cool but sunny today.

I had a lie in this morning..relaxing. I got out of bed at around 10.30am-ish, I didn't take much notice of the time, but anyway, after I got sorted I came down stairs and I had breakfast:

Breakfast
Cereal = 1 yellow
Yogurt = 1 red

I then caught up with emails etc. I then sorted laundry out and have put a load on to wash. The dishwasher is also going.
I have just taken some bread buns out of the freezer for a light lunch for my family, they rather like bacon buns so that is what I am going to make for them. I'm not sure yet what I am having, I need to decide, maybe a feta salad, I will update here.

I completed my exercise yesterday evening and tonight it is, Lower Fix. My body is aching so much but I am not giving up on this, I really need a positive boost to lose a significant amount of this weight, I need to get to goal before I hit 50 years old in 7 months...OH MY!

I am now going to get some area's cleaned in my kitchen, clean on the tops of my cupboards, skirting boards, display cabinet etc.

*UPDATE*

I got 2 loads of laundry washed, dried and put away, I made meals and packed lunch for hubby tomorrow and I managed to get half of my cupboard tops done, I will have to finish them tomorrow...I just don't know where the time goes.

I done my Lower Fix exercise this afternoon :)

Here is the rest of my food:

Snack
Shake = 1 Yellow and
1 Red.

Lunch
1 Wholemeal slice of bread = 1 Yellow
1 Bacon Medallion = 1 Red (I am counting it as 1 Red)
1 Apple = 1 Purple

Snack
Chocolate Raisins = 1 Orange
I can have two treats per week but I have to give it a yellow container that day.

Dinner
Chicken = 1 Red
Vegetables = 3 Green
Pineapple = 1 Purple

Green = 3
Purple = 2
Red = 4
Yellow = 3
Blue = 0
Orange = 1
Tsp = 2
Water = 7

Day three completed :)

Operation 50 - 21 Day Fix

I have been looking into doing the 21 Day Fix programme for a few weeks now. This states that I could lose up to 15lbs in 21 days which is over a stone in weight, and to be honest I could do with a very big kick up the bum so this is what I have decided to do for 21 days. I am of course going to go back to following Weight Watchers but at the moment I just need a good ole kick up the backside and get myself shifted to exercise.

I started this yesterday and of course I did do the exercise for the day and I have to say that I have been in such discomfort since, I must be incredibly unfit and the fact that these exercises really work the body.

I ordered the Ultimate pack. I was under the impression that the Ultimate pack would include the following:

Lunch bag
Exercise band
Larger tub
DVD - Barre Legs and Flat Abs Fix each 30 minutes

But it doesn't! So beware all you in the UK, if you order the Ultimate pack all you will receive extra is the DVD for the extra £20 which in my opinion £20 is a tad pricey for a 1 hour exercise DVD.

I wasn't able to eat all my tubs of food yesterday and I don't think I am going to manage it today either.
The tubs look quite small but believe me, it is a lot of food on the plate.
This programme is based around clean eating and this is what I need instead of being in the habit of snacking and missing meals because I have spent too many points on snacking so I am thinking that this is going to help me form healthier habits.

Today:

Wholegrain cereal = 1 Yellow
Natural plain yogurt = 1 Red

1 Wholemeal slice of bread, toasted = 1 Yellow
2 Eggs, dry fried = 1 Red
Cheese = 1 Blue

Butterfly chicken = 1 Red
Roast Veg = 2 Green
Wholewheat Pasta, cooked = 1 Yellow

Fruit = 2 Purple
Shake = 1 Red
2 tsp PB2 = 2tsp
Almond Milk = 1 Yellow
2tsp Peanut Butter = 2tsp

My Daily allowance is:

Green = 5 - Vegetables
Purple = 3 - Fruit
Red = 5 - Meat and Fish
Yellow = 4 - carbohydrates
Blue = 1 Cheese, Nuts
Orange = 1 - Nuts, Seeds and 21 day dressings
Tsp = 5 - Oils and Nut butters

These are the portions and quantities that I am allowed to eat each day

Yesterday's exercise was Total Body Cardio Fix
Today's exercise is Upper Fix - I will do this tonight.

I also done my body measurements yesterday.

Back tomorrow :)

Operation 50 - Week 2

Heaviest Weight Ever: 15st 5lb
Start weight of Operation 50: 15st 4.5lb
Weight Lost To Date: 2.5lb
Total Weight To Lose: 6st 5lb
Total Weight Left To Lose: 6st 2.5lb

Hubby is doing good. He is going for his HGV medical again next week which he is quite anxious about, I think all should be fine.
We are losing weight together now and we are going to start walking more, I am also going to be starting my exercise DVD's at some point again.
I lost 2lb on Thursday :) I hope I am going to have a loss on the scales this week also. I have been a tad naughty on and off, I have binged on chocolate topped rice cakes. My rice cake binge might be down to stress, but having said that I usually go off my food when I am stressed....ummm - no excuses either way, I have been the one putting chocolate topped rice cakes into my mouth, I haven't been forced :( I am back with it so all will be good for the rest of the week and so on. I have weight to lose before I hit 50.

I have shared my daily points out which goes like this:
Breakfast - 5pp
Lunch - 6pp
Evening Meal - 12pp
Snacks - 6pp  These have to be spread throughout the day, not eaten in one sitting.

Total daily pro points - 29

When I come down in points I will take it from the snacks which will then encourage me to find 0 point snacks.

Back tomorrow with my menu in photo's and more pics.

A Lot Going On

I got up yesterday morning and because I am having sinus problems again I decided to steam to help it. After that was done I done the usual facial routine and straightened my hair. All was well but then the phone rang, it was my husband to let me know how his medical went for his HGV licence renewal. As far as I was concerned it was just a formality and I was waiting to hear him say, that its done and all is well BUT! As soon as he spoke I could hear the panic and fear in his voice.

Hubby: "lovey, I have been told to go to A&E immediately, my blood pressure is 222 over 116 and I am at serious risk of having a stroke and I am NOT allowed to drive UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES"

Of course I tried to stay calm but then my voice started quaking.
We worry about losing our other half all the time but to hear something like that we realise just how much we worry...scary stuff.

I rang our eldest son, Michael and told him and he immediately went up to get his Dad to take him to the A&E, I had to wait for our other two sons to get home because they didn't have their key to get in.
When I got to A&E my hubby was called in soon after. His blood pressure had dropped to 165 over 113 which was still high but better! I have to say that the hospital wasn't much good, they told him that he was okay to go home and carry on as normal and just go back to work, and yes he can drive, no medication was needed, and I quote, "According to the UK medical guide lines no medication was required"....YOU WHAT!!!! Go home and carry on like nothing was wrong! My hubby could be driving his bin wagon and getting all anxious because he is getting the usual abuse from the public and his blood pressure could be high again and possibly rise further and just to carry on....pffft
I made an appointment at the doctors and he went straight there. The doctor put him on blood pressure tablets straight away and has asked for an ECG to be done, also a cholesterol and urine check....THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!....BAH BLUMMIN HUMBUG A&E!!!
My hubby will probably be on blood pressure tablets for life now but rather that than the worst happening.

I walked to town this morning to make the appointment for my hubby's ECG. I walked which is good exercise and 1pp earned. On the way back I popped into Lidl, somewhere I don't usually go to. WOW! That shop is looking so much better that it used to; I haven't been in there for a year or two.

I want to say also, today is our 33rd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!! I have been with my hubby since I was 14 years old and I married him at age 16. I wasn't pregnant or nothing like that, I simply loved and love him! I could have titled this blog, our 'Wedding Anniversary' but after the shock yesterday our Anniversary hasn't been in the forefront of my mind.

I decided to make a Bircher Muesli for my Breakfast and it was DELCIOUS!!

My menu in photo's for yesterday and today:

First thing:
ACV shot = 0pp

Breakfast:
Bircher Muesli
3 Dates = 3pp
30g Oats = 3pp
1 cup Almond Milk = 1pp
1 Pink Lady Apple = 0pp

Lunch/Snack:
Didn't get chance for a proper lunch because I was at the hospital with my hubby but when I got home I was hungry and I ended up snacking until I managed to get my evening meal made.
2 Bananas = 0pp
2 Weight Watchers Rich Toffee Bars = 3pp
1 Bag Metcalf Corn Snacks = 6pp

Evening Meal:
120g Chicken Breast = 4pp
60g Rice = 6pp
Asparagus = 0pp

Total spent today = 26pp
Weeklies spent today = 0pp
Total weeklies spent this week = 2pp

Today's menu in photo's

Breakfast:
30g Cereal = 3pp
1 Actimel = 2pp
Blueberries = 0pp

Lunch/Snacks:
Again I grazed. I MUST stop that because it will and maybe is becoming a habit, and a bad one at that!
I bought a few things from Lidl and that is what I grazed on.
Oh! In our Wedding Anniversary card from our son, Michael and his girlefriend there were 2 x 114g bars of Galaxy but because of the scare yesterday my hubby didn't have his and I just put mine down AND I didn't even look at it, but then, well, I ate BUT I have counted it in which worked out at 20pp I think a tad less that 20pp but I have counted 20pp for the full bar, and yes, I ate the full bar. I noticed shortly after eating it that I started to feel really tired and I ended up dozing off on the settee, probably due to a sugar crash when we eat high sugar things.

I didn't have my ACV shot this morning. For the last two days my tummy has felt a tad queasy on and off which I think has been down to the ACV shot, and I have had coughing fits. I haven't had a coughing fit today but my tummy is still feeling dodgy. I know that I should be watering the ACV right down and sipping on it throughout the day but I have just been downing it with little or no water just so it is done and over with for the day, but after I have downed it I quickly follow with plenty water. Downing it is not good really because it is an acid and it wont do my insides much good. I think it is alkalizing for the body though but until it reaches that point it is an acid.

1 Sandwich Biscuit = 3pp
1 Hazelnut Wafer = 3pp (came in at 2.5pp but I am counting 3pp)
3 Crackers = 3pp
1 x 114g Galaxy Bar = 20pp

Evening Meal:
150g Sweet Potato Fries = 6pp
1 Garlic & Herb Chicken = 3pp
Asparagus = 0pp
Cherry Tomatoes = 0pp

Dessert:
1 Mini Icecream = 3pp

Total spent today = 46pp
Weeklies spent today = 17pp
Total weeklies spent this week = 19pp

Well that is me for now. Back tomorrow.

Sunday 26 April 2015

Great Guns!

I am still on track and I have to say that I am not feeling hungry, except for the mornings when I am ready for breakfast :)

Our eldest son and eldest grandson, both Michael's :) visited this morning. I love my three sons and grandchildren SOOO MUCH!! But of course I will!!

When I came downstairs this morning I started to prepare the chicken casserole for my evening meal using one of the Weight Watchers casserole stir in sauce pots. As I was getting further through making the recipe I realised that I didn't read the instructions through properly...doh! Thinking that the recipe was a crock pot recipe I got my crock pot out of the cupboard and proceeded to make the casserole to get it into the crock pot to cook for the day. As I was merrily sealing the chicken pieces and then adding the other ingredients it was then that I noticed that it doesn't go into the crock pot...OOps! It is to be cooked in a pan and served immediately but there was no way I was going to be eating chicken casserole for breakfast...BLEURGH! So I put it all into the crock pot anyway. It just tasted like chicken tomatoey (no such word as tomatoey..lol) casserole, nothing extra from using the Weight Watchers sauce pot. I will definitely cook it in a pan next time, and use less tomato.

I done some housework today, and that is about it really, not a very exciting day. I'm just a housewife, Mammy and Gran on a weight loss mission. I really need to vamp up my days!

On Track

We have had rain most of the day which is super cozy! Except for the fact that our eldest son, Michael and my hubby were out in it because they are still sorting out a problem on our car and they got soaked to the skin...not happy about them getting soaked but when I tell them to stop, they wont...stubborn, the two of them, like father like son!

I was making the family bacon sandwiches for their lunches which became to much to resist when the smell of it cooking started wafting around the house, so I had 3 grilled rashers. Instead of thinking to myself that I will have a few rashers of bacon and if I don't write it down then it doesn't count I wrote the points down immediately.....how many of you have thought that if it isn't written down then it doesn't count? :)

We got a few groceries this afternoon and I found a few new things, one of which  isn't new in the shops but is new to me.

Asda Garlic & Herb Chicken Breast Fillets 2 boxes for £4.00 - I bought two boxes.
These are lovely but rather small.
Each fillet worked out at 3pp each

 Asda Sweet Potato Fries 2 bags for £4.00 - again I bought the two bags of these.
I had these on my evening meal. You can see this meal on my Menu in pics below.
150g of these worked out at 6pp.

Asda Smart Price Raspberry Ripple Mousse. These are the new to me food item and were only 65p for a bag of six, so I bought three bags of them. Each tub works out at 2pp each.

I have started as of this morning having a shot of apple cider vinegar.
Here are a few links for the benefits and uses for ACV:

15 ACV Benefits

Apple Cider Vinegar

My tracking is still going good.
Here is my menu in photo's:

I have to say that my son has just came in from Asda with 2 x 4pks of glazed doughnuts, he offered me a doughnut and I declined but I did have a little bit of a doughnut. At one time I would have eaten a full doughnut and then asked him to go back to Asda to buy me a pack of them but instead I had a little nibble, a taste...PROGRESS! I am counting the piece of doughnut as 2pp so this has taken me into 1pp from my weekly allowance of 49pp - 48 weekly pro points remaining.

First thing:
1tb Apple Cider Vinegar shot with a little water = 0pp

Breakfast:
30g Cereal = 3pp
1 Strawberry Actimel = 2pp

Hungry For.....

SUCCESS!!

I woke up ready for breakfast this morning but instead of going straight onto the computer to check emails etc and allowing myself to get even more hungry to the extent that I make the wrong choices and dive into naughty foods I decided to get on with my breakfast straight away....it worked!

The sun is shining again today which makes everyone happier :) but it is apparently going to rain over the weekend, I don't mind that either :)

I discovered a new thing for sparse eyebrows which I am going to have to buy because you all know what my eyebrows are like....practically none existent and not because I have ever shaved or waxed them, I was simply never blessed with eyebrows. The new thing is eyebrow extensions, so I am going to check out about buying them....WooHoo

Not much else to report at the moment but I WILL be back today, I will need to post my meals in pics.

*UPDATED*
Our eldest son, Michael came along today to replace a part on our car. He also brought our youngest grandson, Jayden with him, he is such a character and so cute with it!!

My tracking today was within points but I didn't have any lunch. I fed everyone else but forgot to feed myself because I was too busy enjoying Michael and Jayden being here.

Here is my menu in pics:

Operation 50 Week 2

I am trying to stick to my points, although I have had a few slips ups.
I woke up this morning with a, 'JUST DO THIS!!' Frame of mind and a renewed determination, It's been a long time since I felt this strong.

Last night I washed a load of spinach, asparagus, raspberries and strawberries and put them into green bags, so I am now more prepared.

I forgot to take my breakfast photo's but I had an actimel, 30g cereal and a muller light yogurt totalling 7pp
I am thinking of maybe having a chicken wrap for lunch and maybe chicken again for my evening meal, not sure.

The sun is out today; it has been sunny for days infact.

Not much to report today. I should get back with photo's later.

Saturday 18 April 2015

I Hate The Sound Of.....

BrEaKiNg GlAsS!.....We have been asking the kids in our avenue to STOP playing with footballs outside our house for the last 10-ish years!! But NOPE they just carried on and now the glass has been smashed out in our front door. We are UTTERLY FED UP with this carry on now!! We have lived in this house coming up to 30 years now and over the last 10 years it has gradually got worse!
We have just called the police and are just waiting for them, but for something like this we could be waiting for ages.
The police have now been and are going to the boys house while we have just finished cleaning all the glass up. Oh my! When is this all going to stop!? We would move house but because we have been victims of fraud it isn't possible at the moment as getting another mortgage will be difficult to get until WE have cleared our name for something someone else has done.

On a happier note. Me and my hubby popped out to Asda this morning because when I done my big grocery shop I forgot to get dish washing tablets, eggs, natural yogurts and oranges. I noticed that Asda was selling a 12 box of coconut water for £3, original price £6..WOW! I have been paying around £13 in Costco for the same box of coconut water, of course I bought a box from Asda...what a bargain! I also found pickelets which work out a 1pp each which is good for basically a thin crumpet, much better than the 3pp for an average crumpet. I bought 3 packs so I can put some in the freezer.

I decided to have a look in the clothing section in Asda and I found a few tops that I liked which I bought. They weren't pricey because with trying to lose weight I hopefully wont be in them long.
On the way home from Asda we had a look in Aldi. I just bought some cereals.

Well no menu pics today.

That is me for today, I am off to help clean the mess up from the door as hubby is putting a replacement and unfortunately a different pattern of glass in the door until we get to the glaziers tomorrow.

Food Finds

I was so busy yesterday doing my big grocery shop, which I love to do! I love knowing that I have lots of healthy food choices in my house, but I didn't make the best food choices yesterday because of being out and about, although I did start off well and ate a banana for breakfast, but as the day went on I allowed myself to get hungry and I started grazing on the wrong type of snacky foods.

My first port of call was Asda where I bought lots of healthy foods and a salad for my lunch.

I usually buy the chicken, pasta and bacon salad but I opted for this which is a much better and healthier, low point choice.

I also found the new 'Hula Hoops Puft' snacks and they work out at 2 point per bag.

When I got back from Asda I put all my foods etc away and then went straight out to Costco. I was starting to feel hungry and then realised that I hadn't had my salad before going to Costco.

At Costco I stocked up with chicken breasts, veg, fruit, Broccoli salads, kale salads, tork rolls for cleaning, tea, coffee and a few treats for the freezer. One of the treats I found were these: Tropical Snack Nuggets. They come in a box of 48 (photo of the box is later in this blog post) and they work out at only 2 points per packet. They are small packets but they are packed and take a while to finish the packet.

On the way back from Costco I popped into Tesco where I bought sweet onions and salad dressings. I got home and put all that lot away.
The final grocery trip of the day was to Aldi. I watched a You Tube and someone had bought rice cakes from Aldi and so:

These are huge. These are the yogurt coated rice cakes, I also bought some of the milk chocolate covered rice cakes.

I ordered a, 'Nicer Dicer Plus' yesterday which arrived today. I didn't need this as I have other pieces of machinery that do the same jobs but sometimes we just want to grab a piece of kitchen equipment quickly and so I thought this would be for those times. It was only £8.50 and free delivery from Ebay so I bought it for my much already cupboard filled kitchen...tut tut!

Well that is me for today but I will be back tomorrow with my menus in photos and good tracking.

Tuesday 14 April 2015

SOOO Busy

I started doing my housework at about 8.15am starting with my fridge. I have a big American fridge/freezer. It took me an hour and a half to clean the fridge, inside, around the seals, the shelves etc. I bought some flex tubs a few weeks ago because I wanted some sort of organisation in my fridge, so of course I had to clean those before using them inside the fridge, it does look so much better! Whoa! A lot of fridge going on there :)
After the, fridge :) I then started vacuuming, cleaning and polishing my floors and it has taken me nearly all day. I have been busy with a few other jobs also but most of the day has been floors. My back is now in two..OUCH!

My eating hasn't been the best and I have used 12 of my weekly 49 points totaling 15 of my 49 weeklies. I now have 34 weeklies left.

I am going to be more organised tomorrow with my meals.

Above: I had the chia porridge and a banana for breakfast and then I got stuck into housework.
For lunch, because I was so busy I just grabbed a bacon rasher crisp sandwich, I know, sounds disgusting doesn't it? I actually like them, something from my childhood.
Snacks, well, this is just a portion of the snacks, I just seemed to graze for the rest of the day in between jobs. total spent today: 41 points (29 daily points and 12 weeklies).

Above is a photo of my latest Weight Watchers purchase. These are new. They come in packs of 4 and each pot serves 2.
I will post a pic here when I try them.

Well, that is me for today. I am wacked so an early night.

Monday 13 April 2015

Operation 50 - Week 1

Heaviest Weight Ever: 15st 5lb
Start weight of Operation 50: 15st 3lb
Weight Lost To Date: 2lb
Total Weight To Lose: 6st 5lb
Total Weight Left To Lose: 6st 2lb

WEEK 1
Now, if the title of today's post isn't a NONE subtle reminder to myself as to why I need to lose weight then I don't what is!  I was thinking of names like: operation fat buster, lard buster, lard a**e, all those things but I reminded myself as to why I want to lose weight even more at this point in my life. I am going through menopause, yes, after a few years of denial I have finally started admitting it to myself once and for all. I am also months, yes months away from being 50 years old, granted it is next year but come on, it is the first week in January and it is no longer a year away.....time to get lard busting! I will also be getting on with exercise.

I have had a 5 point breakfast which was a chia oat porridge that I received in a Degusta box, it was rather nice too! I have another sachet of it which I am going to have tomorrow morning.

Oh! Before I forget, I have photo's

 Above: Butterbuds. I used to buy these years ago but when I was trying to go raw I stopped buying them, but since starting Weight Watchers I remembered about them. These are a sachet of butter granules and are sprinkled over potatoes, veg etc and so yummy! I buy these from Lakeland. They are £4.99 if I remember rightly.

I recently discovered Maybelline brow mascara. I have tried pencils, mascara's, tinting etc to give myself eyebrows but nothing has worked as good as this brow mascara. I'm not sure if it is the product, brush or both, but it is good!
As you can see on the photo above I have done before and after eyebrow photo's using the Maybelline. It takes me half the time to do my eyebrows now. I do have eyebrow hair but it is so faint you can't see them unless I use something on them. I was never blessed with eyebrows.

Here is my recent Weight Watchers haul. I bought the new Filling & Healthy book and the new Chocolate & Hazelnut spread.

I bought a few things from Weight Watchers on Saturday also so I will get a photo of those at some point today. I am also going to post daily photo's of my meals, starting today.

Well, I have housework to do so I must crack on with that.

*UPDATE*

I have been so busy cleaning today. I had to sort out the crockery cupboard because the small plastic stubby thing that the shelf sat on had snapped, so I had to replace it, and before putting everything back in I cleaned the cupboard, which just happened to be on today's cleaning list of jobs anyway. My back is paying the price for sorting that cupboard out...OUCH!

I watched a You Tube recipe last night which looked delicious; Chicken Pie Soup, so I got everything into the small crock pot this morning and it has been cooking all day. The whole crock pot came to 13 points. I have to confess to having the lot because I went back for seconds.
I have spent 32 points today, so that is three points from my weekly allowance of 49.

Today's menu in pictures.

Back tomorrow.

Baking Over Easter

I haven't taken the photo's that I intended to take because I decided to do some baking over these few days.
We had our grandson here on Saturday and of course he wanted to help me do some baking, which he got bored with after a few minutes, he did make himself a scone :)
I made scones, a stromboli recipe that I got from You Tube which are now in the freezer. I also made pizza for the kids evening meal, I have to say they were huge and Michael ate all of his...AMAZING! I made other things but I can't remember now.
Yesterday I made, granola bars, ciabatta, tea cake buns and cupcakes.

Here are photo's of yesterday's shinanigans, as you can see I am no baker.

I am going to get the other photo's done today, for sure!
I will be back with those later today.

Back later.

Oh My!!

I seriously did not realise that it has been so long since I last updated....February!...Oh my!

I have been feeling rather up and down with more downs lately, no excuse not to blog as blogging could and would have probably helped me by not allowing myself to dwell so much, but I am here now.

I have been watching quite a few You Tubes lately and I am feeling more and more motivated to become a gym bunny, well, not quite but to become a home gym bunny :) So I have decided that after the Easter I am going to get gyming :) exercising. I am leaving it until after Easter but not because I have tonnes of Easter eggs to scoff.....NOOoo I don't have one single Easter egg to scoff, not even a Cadbury's Creme Egg...boohoo it's a good thing really but it wont make much of a difference because I intend to do some baking over the Easter weekend anyway....for the kids you understand ;) I might have a nibble or two of somethings that I make.

When I was getting breakfast this morning I was going to make Golden Syrup porridge...naughty, but then I remembered that I still had some "30% less fat" granola left from my Degusta box. I picked up the bag of granola.....ummmm not that much left I thought to myself, so I grabbed a bowl and poured the contents of the granola package into it....oh! A tad more than I thought...oh well. I gazed into the bag to see if the bag was empty, just a tiny bit more left in there I might aswell tip it all in, so in it went...a bowl full. I then grabbed a cappuccino yogurt from the fridge and poured that over the granola also....YUM! But I just know I am going to pay the price for eating all the granola later...OOops! Anyway, "30% less fat" or not, it wouldn't have made any difference because of the amount I had :o

As you will have noticed, I haven't been tracking AGAIN! What is new? Yet I just know that when I get my lardy bott into gear then I will lose quickly, I usually do, or rather, I always have done in the past, but having said that, I was younger and NOT going through the menopause...not an excuse here!

Photo's of my Mother's Day gifts

The above are cup cakes...how BEAUTIFUL are these? I shared them with my four grandchildren.

MORE Mother's Day gifts. I LOVE them!

I bought this: Gtech, K9 Air Ram cordless vacuum and it is FAAAANTAAASTIC!
Quite expensive compared to an electric vacuum but just as good!!

I placed an order at Holland & Barrett. I bought more Eat Water Slim Pasta: Penne and Fettuccine, these are the new Slim Pasta shapes. I also bought some Choc Shot, Pop Rice, chocolate covered Lite Rice and yogurt coated pineapple....YUM!

I have a few more photo's to take which I will get done today and maybe post later today or tomorrow. You will have to come back later if you want to know what they are ;)

Back later or tomorrow :)

Busy Day Of Housework

I have had quite a lazy week which has resulted in a pile of housework to do, which I am going to try to get through today and tomorrow and then start week three of my housework rota on Monday, as it should be. For some reason I can't not do a catch up of my housework rota.

Here is my list:

  • Clean patio doors and windows inside & out
  • Clean outside kitchen window and back door
  • Steam kitchen floor
  • Steam bathroom floor
  • Wood polish rocking chair
  • Vacuum bedrooms and landing
  • Vacuum inside settee and chair
  • Vacuum downstairs floor
  • Vacuum conservatory floor
  • Zone clean Adam's bedroom
  • Clean downstairs light shades
  • Clean kitchen cupboard fronts
  • Bleach kitchen sink
  • Clean bench tops
  • Empty upstairs bins
  • Clean banister and skirtings
  • Clean stairs
  • Polish furniture
  • Polish kitchen display cabinet
  • Clean upstairs doors & handles
  • Clean upstairs door frames
  • Clean ovens
  • Clean light switches and sockets
  • Dust dado rails
  • Clean big mirror
  • Clean 2 blinds, 2 windows & 2 radiators
Not much....HA! My own fault for being lazy!

We had 2 of our grandchildren here yesterday and WOW! The mess from just two of them, but mess comes with children, and it easily cleans up!

Our car is still off the road. For some reason the brakes are giving us jip, we have tried replacing all sorts, maybe time for a new car.

Well, time to get started. I will be back later today.

Photo's Of Latest Buys

We popped to Costco again yesterday and I did buy the glass containers that I wanted, and a few other bits & pieces, but first of all here is a quick pic of the Actifry that I bought:

I still haven't even plugged it in yet...tut tut - I have just done an online grocery shop and I have ordered a few things that I am going to cook in it i.e. chicken drumsticks and potatoes.

Below is a photo of the candle holders and candles...WOW! These candles smell so strong! As soon as I go near them I can smell them and that is before they are burning. I bought these from Ikea last week and were only 95p per item.

Below are a few pics from my Costco trip yesterday:

Here are the containers; a 5 piece glass set with lids and a lovely set of Rubbermaid containers with lids. I need to get them out of the box and washed, ready to use.

I also bought a set of drinks bottles and the thinnest set of digital kitchen weigh scales I have ever seen.

Above is a photo to show just how thin these scales are......thin aren't they?

Here is a photo of a few bulk items I bought and at such a good price also.
I also bought 9 boxes of Aquafresh toothpaste for around £5 and 6 boxes of Sensodyne toothpaste for £11 and pence. The body wash was around £6 and the Carex was around £5. I bought two packs of the Airwick sprays for £9.00 for each 4 pack. It does definitely pay to buy in bulk because these things will last us for a little while and so reduce the weekly shopping bill.

I might get back later today but if not I will be back tomorrow.

Dithering About

That is exactly what I am doing with 'Weight Watchers'.
I have cancelled my 'Weight Watchers' online account which will be finished at the end of this month. I have cancelled it because I just don't use it, and to be honest, with all the things I have at home I have everything I need!! So as of tomorrow I will weigh in....yep! Back to my Thursday weigh in :) so, as of tomorrow, Thursday 19th February I am weighing in and getting on following 'Weight Watchers', starting with following a week or two of 'Simple Start' aka 'Filling & Healthy', I WILL post photo's of my meals or start vlogging them.

We went for our big grocery haul last Friday and we did get to Costco. I want to get back to Costco because I am quite keen to buy some of their glass food storage boxes, I don't know why I didn't buy any whilst I was there, well, actually I did mean to go back for them once I filled my trolley with the food stuff but I forgot.

I also ordered and received an item that I had years ago and which broke down shortly after I bought it: a Tefal Actifry...WooHoo When my other Actifry broke I said that I wouldn't buy another but I gave in and bought another. Thinking back I think I used to overload the other Actifry which would have played a huge part in it breaking...DOH!! I didn't buy the larger Actifry, I bought the smaller and which was supposed to be £169.99 + p&p but I got the same one and brand new for £113.00 which included the p&p from Argos online....I really scored there because they are selling it for the £169.99 in the Argos catalogue. I will post a photo tomorrow.

I also went to Ikea for some of their food bags which cost £1.95 for 50 (25 of a larger and 25 of the smaller bags) I have been buying the Ziplock bags which are great but they do cost a lot more money and so I thought that I would give Ikea's bags a try.
I also spotted some lovely silver candle holders and candles which I bought two of each. The candles and the holders were only 95p each and the candles are quite a strong fragrance. If they burn well then I will buy more of those too.
Lots of photo's tomorrow.

We have the Gas man coming tomorrow AGAIN....GRRRRR - This time because our hot water has been only getting hot intermittently, but I have also booked him to do our gas service also which means that I won't have to rearrange everything twice. Our gas boiler is in a sort of walk in cupboard in our bedroom but I have a tall chest of drawers with our TV on top infront of the cupbaord, also our full length mirror is infront of the cupboard, aswell as a few other things and everytime he has to visit I have to pull everything out so he can get to the boiler....SOOO ANNOYING! But you never know, we might get a year before we have another problem and we have to book him again. The boiler we purchased is meant to be THE Rolls Royce of boilers and that is what the gas men have told us every time they come here....BAH HUMBUG! The amount of break downs we have with that thing does not suggest it is the Rolls Royce but it is one of the best boilers on the market, it's a Vaillant.

Well, I think that is all for now and it is time for my bed.

Back tomorrow. Night night!

A Treat Tonight??

A bag of chips, a treat? Yes! Only because I didn't have to cook the evening meal. A bag of chips is not a good or wise choice of meal! And I regret it now, I knew I would.
After I had eaten them I asked myself a question, "were they worth it?" And I have to say, "a big fat NO!" I need to try to remember my feelings after indulging in such a waste of points, my weekly points that is, remembering my thoughts and feelings after eating such rubbish will definitely stop me wanting it, of that I am sure!

I have been rather lazy today but I will do a catch up tomorrow.

My Glossy box arrived.

Wilkinson Sword - Hydro Silk Razor
Marsk - Mineral Eyeshadow - Fifty Shades
Royal Apothic - Tinties (Tinted Lip Butter)
So Susan - Rose quartet Lip & Cheek Palette
Vicy - Liftactiv Plus.

I have prepared my breakfast for tomorrow morning; overnight oats, I will post a picture in the morning.
I have also prepared a 'Filling & Healthy' quiche. This was basically a 'Slimming World' quiche which includes everything that I can eat on the 'Filling & Healthy' plan. I did also add some very lean diced grilled bacon into the ingredients which is also allowed on the plan.

Slimming World Quiche / Suitable for Weight Watchers Filling & Healthy
Onions, Diced
Peppers, diced
Mushrooms, sliced
any veg you like
200g Fat Free Natural Cottage Cheese
4 Eggs
Salt
Pepper

Beat everything together.
Pour into a sprayed quiche pan
Bake 200 degs for 20 - 25 minutes.

I am going to pop to Ikea when I go to Costco in a few days; Ikea is just across the road from Costco. I want to buy some food bags because I want to make up a load of green smoothie bags so I can simply just grab one every morning, which I am hoping will encourage me to drink more green smoothies.

I started to do vlogs today but I wasn't happy with them so I will keep practising and as soon as I am happy I will post a vlog, could be tomorrow!

I think that is all for today so I will be back tomorrow. Night Night.

What Happened To Yesterday?

Well, I am really not sure. I was so busy sticking to my rota's I just totally forgot to blog.
I have been doing my housework rota today also so again I have been busy, but I was determined not to forget to blog.

I am doing really well with following Weight Watchers, 'Filling & Healthy' aka 'Simple Start'.
I have kept forgetting to clip my Fitbit to my clothing which I am rather disappointed about because I am sure all the housework I have been doing would have given me an activity point or two, not that I would have eaten them, I wouldn't have.

I am going to attempt to vlog (video) my meals etc as of tomorrow morning....watch this space! I will upload my video's onto here, but just to let you know, my You Tube channel is called, 'Weigh On Point' I will put a link when I have uploaded my first video.
I am doing a Costco shop at the weekend so I might vlog that also...exciting!

Well, I have a headache which I have had for most of the day so I am going to sign off here and crawl into bed with a nice cuppa and watch some TV before settling down.

I hope you are having a good day or evening wherever you are in the world! :)

A New Begining

I am prepared for my new start as of tomorrow morning.
I have stocked up on a few groceries, I have my charts printed and meal idea's in my head which I need to put on paper :)

I didn't do an online grocery order over the weekend, we just stocked up ourselves but we got what we need until we go to Costco at the weekend.
Our car is still off the road so our eldest son, Michael will be taking us to Costco. Our son is going to try and get our car fixed over the next few weeks. We need to order a part and by the time that arrives my husband will be off work for a week and so he will help where Michael needs help. My husband is off work next week, not this week.

I am seriously thinking of doing some video's of my journey, not sure whether I will have myself on camera or just film what I am eating and drinking, and maybe a recipe or two.

I have been doing some housework and laundry today but not much else. I have a lot of things to do around the house tomorrow.

I have nothing else to report about so instead of rambling on I will end it here for today.
Have a good evening or day wherever you are in the world.

Saturday 7 February 2015

I seriously.....

get told off from my youngest son, James when I ask for his help on the computer and because I dont understand he seriously grumps at me and tells me that I should know all this.....*blowing raspberries* at the little tike!

Anyway. I popped to a local Weight Watchers meeting this morning and bought these:

The new Weight Watchers magazine annnnnnd 2 packets of the NEW Garlic and Herb Bag n Bakes....YUM! I will be trying this next week. The bag n bakes are only £1 at the Weight Watchers meetings at the moment.

I am going to re-start my Weight Watchers and do a week or two on 'Filling & Healthy' also known as, 'Simple Start'. I will do a brand new weigh in and get going on my Weight Watching journey. I think that I have been stalling getting into my Weight Watchers journey over the last few months again because I wanted to document this and because of having terrible computer problems and knowing that I can't document properly it has made me have as many false starts...well, that's my excuse anyway, well, not really an excuse because I am usually an all or nothing person and I want everything just right before I can get myself into things properly.

Okay, I am thinking to do my weigh in's on Monday's again because I don't want to wait until Thursday, although I do like a Thursday weigh in....ummmm - nope! Monday mornings it is going to be! So all details will be logged on here!

I have been battling a cold for the last week but I am much better than I was this time last week.
I don't know what it is this afternoon but I am feeling like I want to get on and just get things done i.e. stick to my rota's, do my measurements every week or so, and just be awake!....heehee - now that sounds daft...'just be awake'...lol but I just want to get going and keep going! :)

Tonight I am going to do a body scrub and all those lovely pampering things which is a good start...bring myself back to life again...oh dear! I am coming out with some good ones today, but hey that is how I am feeling and we all have different ways of expressing how we feel don't we?

I think that is all today but if I have anything to update about then I will be back, but if not then I will be back tomorrow. Have a good day or evening, whatever time it is where you are in the world!

Friday 6 February 2015

New Computer....YAYYYY!

Having said that, I did have trouble signing into blogger using Google Chrome :/

I will manage though, it is just until I get used to using Google Chrome.

I am doing my online grocery shop tomorrow. I am finding that I am saving money by doing grocery shopping this way. I am still going to Costco every month to do a major stock up but I now just do an online grocery shop inbetween, whereas I was doing a major stock up at Costco then into Tesco and the Nutricentre, and then another major shop in Asda every month and all on the same day, and then STILL buy weekly at Asda....what was I thinking?

I just might do a video of my groceries so you can see what I am buying for my Weight Watchers :) My husband brought the video camera, tripod etc down from the loft and I have written all the instructions down as to how to use it....nope! I am not technically minded :/ I wish I was but our 15 year old son is the techno geek in this house!

I have no get up and go today, not sure why, but there is always tomorrow.

I am SOOO glad to be back online with a new reliable computer :) :) :) Everything is all rigged up to our new computer i.e the camera, printer etc so any photo's I take I can now post them again...WooHoo Our old computer just did not have much ram and it was full. Our son cleared loads off it and done all his techno stuff to it but it didn't seem to want to go any faster. It was rather old and he started talking computer jargon about it as to why it wasn't running right but it is just so confusing to me when he talks about the gubbings in a computer.

I have just cooked up 2 chicken breasts, one of which I will have for my evening meal tomorrow along with roast veg and pasta, I will probably post a photo of my meal/s.....cause I can! :)

A recap about my Weight Watchers:
I am on 29 points per day and 49 per week. I have subscribed to Weight Watchers online which is mainly so I can start and see what activity points I earn each day wearing my Fitbit which I have synchronized to Weight Watchers. Because I have my Fitbit synchronized with Weight Watchers I can start to challenge myself to earn extra activity points. I think the other Fitbit gives you challenges automatically but that is the Fitbit you wear around your wrist, I wanted the Fitbit that I can clip onto my clothes which I clip onto my bra strap. I will post a pic tomorrow of the Fitbit I bought.

Well I think that is me for today, so until tomorrow, I hope you have a nice day or evening, it is evening here; 8.09pm to be precise.

Friday 23 January 2015

I AM BACK!!!! :)

Finally, I am back!
I still haven't purchased a new computer this month so for now I am using my middle son, Adams computer, but we are buying our new computer in February. We have had to put buying our new computer back a month because our car is off the road due to the brakes failing and we must get that sorted. When the brakes failed no-one was hurt. We discovered they actually failed just as my husband was pulling off our drive. It could have been very nasty because the night prior to this my hubby was travelling down the spine roads with our middle and youngest sons in the car, but there was no signs of the brakes deteriorating at that time. The brakes had been leaking the whole time and no-one knew, although the ABS light had been coming on prior but we thought we got that sorted.
My eldest son, Michael managed to get some sort of braking on the car and he took our car to the garage. A week later and £120 worse off we went to collect our car with absolutely NO brakes on it AT ALL.....talk about being ripped off. The garage said he didn't know what was wrong, and this guy apparently has 30 years experience...YEAH RIGHT! Another lad said he thinks it is the ABS module so our eldest is going to fit a new one for us. We are NEVER going back to that garage!! The bloke in the garage told us that he will try fitting another ABS module but it will cost us £150 just for a second hand module.....AHEM! I DON'T THINK SO! My husband and Michael have found them on E-bay for under £50, or even a scrap yard will have them for about the £50 mark.....£150....BAH BLUMMIN HUMBUG!....Rant over!

Okay, back to everyday. We had a lovely Christmas! I hope you all did! I also celebrated my 49th Birthday in early January....one year to get to goal weight and fab at 50!!

I have subscribed to Weight Watchers online. I weighed in yesterday, Thursday at 15stone 2.5lb.
I have also bought a Fitbit which I am hoping will motivate me to set myself and achieve goals and earn Weight Watchers activity points, I have my Fitbit synchronised with Weight Watchers online so it automatically updates my activity points.

A few days ago I tried online grocery shopping for the first time which got delivered yesterday so I am all stocked up with groceries and raring to get to goal weight, especially before I am 50 years old

I will be updating daily now because it is so much easier and SOOO much quicker with this computer.

Back tomorrow, Saturday 24th January 2015....OH YEAH!!
