Now And Forever!

Okay then, here I am with a full update and to start my daily blogging and pics, now and forever!!

We have been quite busy over the last week or so with grocery shopping, having our Grandchildren over and life in general, but first the photo's that I said I would post last week of my Argos buys.

ABOVE: I seriously needed a new Tassimo machine. I had one of the first Tassimo machines and I discovered that a few of the newest milk T Discs just would not fit the old Tassimo which of course limited me to what drinks I could buy. Before I discovered this for myself I was in Costco some time ago and there was a lady demonstrating the Tassimo and I told her that I had heard that some of the new T Discs didn't fit the older Tassimo machine, this woman was quite nasty and adamant that all the T Discs DID fit the machines, new or older versions, I told her that I don't think they do but she got nastier, SO I bought some of the new fancier drinks on her say that the T Discs would fit my older Tassimo, but sure enough, they don't all fit the older machine....grrr - but now I can drink any of the Tassimo drinks using my new Tassimo machine.

ABOVE: I spotted this in the Argos catalogue and bought it for my laminate floors, although it will do tiled and vinyl floors also so a bonus there because my kitchen is tiled and my bathroom and loo and downstairs loo are vinyl floors. I have only patch tested this on my laminate floor and it is rather good but I am yet to do a good polish all over the floors using this.

I popped to Sainsbury's over the weekend for a few groceries. I went around the store and bought:
2 Weight Watcher ready meals
2 Lamb joints
2 bags of bananas
2 packets of ready cooked chicken
3 tins curry sauce
1 Baguette
3 bags of jam doughnuts...not for me, although I did have two over the weekend..Oops!
6 pack of Skinny Topcorn
Hobby magazine for hubby
Seafood Sticks
Large bottle of Sunflower Oil

It all came to £41.72 with £2.75 deduction for offers, which then left me to pay £38.97. Suddenly I remembered that I had my Nectar card with points on. I earn Nectar points not only when I buy items from Sainsbury's but also at other places i.e our energy supplier etc etc.
As soon as our items went through the till I handed my Nectar card to the girl and asked if she could tell me how many Nectar points I had on my card but because I hadn't used my Nectar card at my Sainsburys store for a while she couldn't tell me. She buzzed for someone from customer services who asked us to take our groceries to the customer services desk where she rang the head office to find out my Nectar details. I had to speak to the lady at the Nectar head office to confirm my details and to tell her that I would like my points taken off the price of my groceries. She told me that I had a healthy nectar balance of well over a thousand points. I had to then hand the phone back to the customer service assistant. She punched in keys on the till to take the balance of my points off my grocery total. I had no idea as to how much I had earned until she said, "right then, that is £1.47 to pay please"....whoohoo, yes I had earned £37.50 which left me with £1.47 to pay, so I got all those groceries for £1.47...SCORE!!!

Big Shop & Ready

We went out yesterday, Saturday and I done a huge grocery shop so now I am ready to give this my all! I don't want to reach 50 years of age and be overweight....nope! not going to happen, so I am giving myself the year and a half to reach goal weight of 9 stone (126lb) (57kg)

Yesterday morning started off with my morning routine of showering etc and then out to Argos where I bought a few things....photo's of what I bought will be posted tomorrow. We then went to Costco where I bought fruit, veg, salad, chicken breasts and lots of other good healthy things. We then went  to Tesco. I wanted to also pop into the Nutricentre in Tesco but....IT'S GONE! Anyway, in Tesco I bought actimel 0%, albran, 0 point mayonnaise, sweet onions, tassimo drinks etc etc.
We then came home and I unpacked everything and put most of it away.
We then popped into our eldest son, Michael's home for a little while but didn't stay because our 4 grandchildren were having their evening meal and you know what it is like when grandparents visit, the kids suddenly don't want to eat their food.
We then went along the coast road, through Whitley Bay to North Shields because my hubby wanted some paints from a model shop, and then onto Asda where I bought things like, cooked meats, yogurts, cheeses, laundry powder and toiletries etc Oh! And a lovely large tub of white paint for our hall, stairs and landing. My husband said, "oh no! This means work"...heehee he hates painting the hall, stairs and landing and I don't like him having to paint it because it is one heck of a stretch to reach the highest parts.

I am starting my day with exercise tomorrow morning and then shower and housework and I am also going to try to remember to take my meal photo's - OH! And weigh in...I MUST WEIGH IN!!!!!!

Well, that is my update for now!
Back tomorrow :)

The Search Is On

Where is my brain?
I forgot to blog yesterday, I forgot to weigh in yesterday and today, I even forgot my housework rota....what is going on with me?!?! Clearly my husband has the brain cell this week...FOR SURE!! I am blogging now before I forget again.

My Mother visited yesterday. I am always the one who is blamed for any fallings out, My Mother is never to blame...Nooooo. I have always been blamed for all the families problems over the years and I have always been treat like the black sheep as far back as I can remember by my siblings and both parents. I texted my Mother yesterday to let her now that I do love her and I hadn't fallen out.
My Mother and step Dad visit three times and if we are not in and they don't get an answer after three visits they don't visit again and then I am the one who is ignoring them or whatever they want to blame me for. I am keeping my distance from the family but my Mother knows where I am and she is always welcome to visit. I don't want to know about any problems about anyone else in the family. My Mother is getting older and isn't in the best of health and I am happy to have my Mother in my life despite problems over the years.

Today I intend on getting on with rota's and tomorrow I am weighing in, I have even left myself a note to remind myself to weigh in :)

Okay, I will be back later today.

Has Anyone Seen My........

Brain?!?!
This is the second Monday that I have forgot to do my weigh in.....DURRRR - Oh well! I will just have to weigh in tomorrow.

I have been rather good with my pointing today. I only consumed 15pp until my evening meal when I had home cooked chips and a slice of bread spread with Flora light, but nothing else, this will take me to using all my remaining points for today. I will try not to use any of my weekly allowance just incase I haven't counted enough for the chips.
I was going to have chicken for tonights meal but I just made the chips instead.
I had already taken the chicken breasts out of the freezer to defrost so I still cooked them. I was going to bake the chicken breasts in the Weight Watchers bake in the bag with the Mediterranean spices but I am not a spice girl so I decided not to use the Weight Watchers spice packet which I shall keep and use a teeny tiny srinkling on other things, I don't mind the teeniest sprinkling of some spices on food. Anyway, instead I put garlic powder in the bag with the chicken and a few veg. It all seems to be super moist....YUM! I have put them into a glass lidded bowl and they are now in the fridge and I will have some tomorrow, maybe in a wrap for lunch.

No exercise today but I am back on with my housework rota which will count for something on the exercise front, albeit small.
My back is rather achey with the bending down cleaning the bathroom and loo and then the downstairs loo, still need to clean my patio doors inside and out, also my kitchen window and back door glass.

We popped along to see our son, Michael and his girlfriend, also our 4 grandchildren tonight......arrgghh....heehee - they are absolutely adorable and such fun! We of course ended up with our grandson, Michael back here having his tea, he LOVES being here, they all do :)!! Actually, I don't know if I mentioned it on yesterdays blog entry but we had both Michael and Jayden here yesterday also, they love it!! :)

Procrastination

PROCRASTINATE!!!!!! Yep, that is all I have been doing for the last few weeks. I have had a few stresses and have been feeling quite depressed lately but I decided that nothing was going to make me feel better until I picked myself up and done something about it! And so I did! My first stress was knowing that I have been due to visit my dentist for a while now but because my husbands salary has dropped slightly, as most of the UK's working wage has dropped slightly I do confess to putting my dental visit off, something I NEVER do!!
Working families do have to pay for dental, eye tests and prescriptions. Anyway, I was under the illusion that dental treatment was much more expensive, where I got that from I don't know because I have had to pay for dental treatment for years....puzzling why I thought that. I went to my dentist last Friday and I do need a little bit of treatment....my own fault - but since going I feel much better! I have changed my dental practice, it is still the same practice but a much more relaxed practice and less of a wait for treatments, so I go back in two weeks for my treatment. At my other dental practice I would have had to wait until August for treatment...madness. So, that is that sorted :)

I have needed a tumble dryer for ages now. I used to have a tumble years ago, back in the 80's but they were SOOO expensive to run I never used it, I actually threw it away, but nowadays they are a lot more efficient and it is much better and less costly than putting the gas heating on all the time to dry clothes, especially during the Summer months when the weather is hotter yet raining outside so not like I can hang the laundry out. So yesterday I bit the bullet and we went and bought a tumble dryer. Of course the laundry will go out on the line when it isn't raining. I am happy now because many a time I have had to put the heating on during the Summer whilst cooking the family their meals over the hot hob, then I get I get very aggravated because of my time of life with the hot flashes....not fun AT ALL with all the heat I can tell you!! The tumble dryer is now on, the heating is off and I am feeling cooler...HAPPY! So that is another thing sorted and I stay a tad cooler.

I am getting back on track with my pointing as of tomorrow; Monday so I will update everything. I do need to do a grocery shop which I will get done sometime this week.

I am getting back on track with my rotas and I am even wanting to exercise starting with my 'Slim In 6' DVD's

I need to visit my GP about a few little problems, but one thing at a time for me, get my dental sorted and then the GP. I KNOW I should make an appointment now and I might yet.

I am getting back to life and feeling happier and much more on top of things which is the main thing!

Back tomorrow :)
