Another Happy Saturday

I was up at around 8.00am this morning to let my hubby know what I wanted from the local Weight Watchers meeting which started at 9.00am. I just wanted porridge oats today. He always does my Weight Watchers shopping...bless!

We stocked up on a few groceries at Asda this morning. I am giving myself two weeks to sort out menu plans so I can shop according to exactly what is needed for that weeks menu's because I am spending far too much on groceries just incase I decide to cook that item purchased and often I don't then sometimes unless it is frozen it ends up wasted....not good!

I am going to do housework today, spend time with my hubby, sons and Grandson and basically just enjoy the day. We have nothing planned but just being with them all is super!

I should be back later today to update on the rest of the day:)

Stocking Up, Shopping & Food Finds

First of all, I exercised all this week except this morning because I was feeling a little iffy in the tummy, but four days out of five is pretty good going for me! I'm pleased with that. The 'Slim In 6' is a five day week programme.

I have my Grandson, Michael here. He is sleeping which he loves to do, probably because he has us wrapped round his little finger but he is SOOO CUTE!

Over the last few weeks I have been stocking up on my all time favourite essential cleaning products. I am stocking up on things for my mega big Christmas deep cleaning, you know, that cleaning when I pull everything out and clean behind things, on top of things, inside of things and so on.

Two bottles of pet Bissell carpet shampoo which is recommended to use with my very heavy Bissell cleaning machine. I clean my bedroom carpets, living room rug, landings and stair carpets with these products. I do clean my big living room rug occasionally throughout the year, and other carpets if I need to but they do get the mega clean at Christmas time.
I also stocked up on my Karcher window solution, WOW! This stuff is brilliant!
I also stocked up on air freshener machines, lavender for upstairs and, crisp linen and lilac fragrance for the downstairs entrance hall.

I am always trying to find equipment that makes it quicker and easier to keep on top of the mid weekly household jobs, so I decided to purchase the new Merlin handy vac for my laminate floors and to quickly go over the stairs and bedrooms daily inbetween the big vacuum that I do on Tuesday's. It just helps me keep well on top of things and the house always looks clean and tidy.
The swiffer. I already have one of these that I keep for my bathroom, loo and downstairs loo but I wanted one for my kitchen floor. I know that I could change the pads for the different rooms but I just did not like the idea of using a mop on my kitchen floor that is designated for a bathroom and loo and downstairs loo.

I received my Degusta subscription box yesterday.

Mexican Dave's lightly salted tortilla chips.
Berry White organic and no added sugar drink.
2 Schwartz Flavour Shots.
Caribbean Twist Strawberry Daiquiri drink.
Lindt Chocolates.
Cawston Press Apple & Pear drink.
Brioche Pasquier; 8 pack.
Brioche Pasquier; 6 chocolate pack.
Dr Oetker Edible Wafer baking cases.
A voucher for a free 4 pack Bircher Muesli Yogurts.

I have also been buying a few other bits and pieces over the last couple of weeks.

This is fantastic! It is a single induction hob and WOW! I have used it a few times and it is so quick it is unbelievable! I bought it for several reasons. It will be good come Christmas time.
I had also thought about maybe, just maybe doing a recipe video and this will be ideal if I need to use a hob.

When we purchased the hob the guy asked if I wanted the pan for the induction hob, I said no because I knew that my pans are suitable for induction, and the way to tell if your pans are suitable is to get a magnet and if the magnet sticks to the bottom of your pan then it is suitable to use on an induction hob which mine are.

My two new Boyfriend cardigans. They are a bit crinkled because I left them rolled up in my wardrobe.....naughty but they are hanging up in there now.
The black one isn't marked it is from my hands, I had talc on my hands....ooops! It will dust off.

Next is this: Eggies! These will hard boil or soft boil eggs without the shells. Maybe I will demonstrate this using my induction hob:) More on this will come!

Now food finds: New to me.

Small wraps for 2pp each. These are small as I said but great for a low point lunch or snack. I bought these from Sainsbury's

Mac n Cheese. Each sachet serves 2 but one portion works out at 7pp. I bought these from Asda.

This petite pain which I got in my Degusta box works out at 3pp which isn't bad. I have put the fork beside one of them to show the size.

There you have it, my latest everything. Nothing else has been happening but I am challenging myself to update daily!!

BACK TOMORROW!  :)

Wednesday 27 August 2014

For 3 Days....

Current BMI: 36

I have been exercising, yep, I have been doing my 'Slim In 6' DVD's. I am still on the first DVD of course as this is only my 3rd day and boy! Is it exercise! It isn't high impact, it's more moving, working, defining and toning the body, I can really feel it in my arms. The first and second day I had to put my hands on my waist because I simply could not keep my arms up and moving any longer but today I was just about able to get through the whole DVD and keep my arms moving, I only rested my arms for two lifts...pretty good eh?!

I have been tracking really well and I am hoping for another loss next weigh in which incidentally are back to Monday's. I lost 1.5lb this last week. I will update my chart on the right.

I purchased two Boyfriend cardigans from Asda last week; one size 18 in Blue and the other size 20 in Black. I thought the black size 20 would be a good fit but I feel it is a little snug and I want it looser, whether it is because it is new and needs to go through the wash a few times or what I don't know but it is a little snug for my liking....GOSH! I am bigger than I realised.

I bought a couple other little bits and pieces for using in the kitchen and food finds that I will post photos of later today....watch this space!!

Home Made Laundry Sheet Idea

I watched a You Tube on how to make laundry sheet type things so when I was in Asda I bought the items I needed, although I need to buy another bottle of fabric softener to top my jar up. Anyway here it is:

The Items Needed

Kitchen Sponges
Fabric Softener
Lidded Jar
Pair of Scissors

Cut the sponges into approximately 1" squares.
Put the cut sponges into the jar.

Pour over the fabric softener to cover the sponges - I need to buy another bottle of fabric softener because I didn't have enough to cover the sponges.
Put the lid on the jar and leave for a while so the sponges can soak up as much of the fabric softener as possible.

When you are about to put your laundry into the tumble dryer just squeeze the dripping excess fabric softener out of a sponge and place the lid back on the jar.

Put the sponge/s into the tumble dryer along with your freshly washed clothes and use as you would a dryer sheet - *NOTE* I am putting a couple of sponges in with my freshly washed laundry. It will depend on the amount of laundry you are drying at that time.
When the laundry is dry remove the sponge and place it back into the jar along with the other sponges and fabric softener. You can reuse the sponges until they are basically starting to fall to bits.
This tip really works and certainly saves a pretty penny or two.

Back tomorrow with a Weight Watchers update and more photo's

My Scales Wont Work

My fabulous Weight Watchers scales have broken, well, actually, they work up to the point when I have to tap them then that is it, they wont go off tap....boohoo....sad about that! I will buy some more soon, but in the meantime I have my Tanita scales which are also fabulous but they are harsh, they always weigh me heavier....well that is my excuse...heehee.

I have been in and out the house lately with grocery shopping. Over this last week I have been to Costco, Asda about 4 times, Sainsbury's, Homebase and Aldi. I have just been going through one of those phases of shopping. I have more photo's which I will upload tomorrow.

I also bought a few more Weight Watcher items. I know I already have the cake pop moulds but I wanted a second set so when I make one lot I will make a second lot to fill the oven shelf up :)
I also bought a second journal so I have another to continue on with. The latte drinks aren't too bad. This is the first time I have bought those.

I found these in Asda, I have never seen these before. I haven't tried them yet but I am sure they will be yummy!

Either back later today or tomorrow with photo's

Week 1 & Food Find

I actually forgot to an update yesterday, infact my brain was just not in place all day, better today though....heehee

I went over points by 5 yesterday but I did have 1.5 from Monday, so I would say that I am 3.5 pp over up to now, unless I can recoup them before next Monday. I still have 49 weekly pp so any points over might have to come off those.

I discovered a new food, well, actually, it's new to me as I have never had these before.

Batchelors Deli Box. I bought Sweet & Sour and the BBQ Beef. These both worked out at 7 pp each. I had the Sweet & Sour for lunch today. When I added the water I thought, noway is this going to feed me, there seemed to be very little in the box but I was surprised to not be craving anything else soon after eating it. I didn't realise that I was satisfied until a little while after eating it, so for that reason I will buy these a little more often for when I am feeling really hungry. I bought these from Asda at £1.19 each. They will be available in all supermarkets.

Today

Breakfast
30g Special K = 3pp
1 Mullerlight Yogurt = 2pp
1 0% Actimel = 1pp

Lunch
Batchelors Deli Box = 7pp

Dinner

Snack/Dessert

Today I have been doing laundry and now I am going to get stuck into some housework, plenty to do around here.

Back later today.

Focused - 12 Week

I have started my new Weight Watchers journal as of today despite my weigh ins being on Thursday's. I have filled in details from last Thursday's weigh in and off I go :) The journal is for 12 weeks so I am going to stay focused and challenge myself to stay on track for the 12 weeks. All I need to do is for one of my sons to take a full body photo of me today and I will print that off and stick that into my journal in the designated space.

One thing I forgot to add to my Weight Watchers haul photo the other day was these: Strawberry Hearts

1pp for a full box, not bad, although I don't think I could eat a full box in a day because they are a hard-ish gum type sweet and they probably have a laxative effect.

I have had a very successful day of tracking today, I am very pleased! Day 2 of my 12 week challenge tomorrow.

I watched a little bit of my 'Slim In 6' DVD's and of course I got up and started to exercise, I only managed 5 minutes and already my arms and back were aching, BOY! That is going to work, or I'm just so unfit....both!

I seriously need to get into my housework. I didn't manage to get much done at all today because my eldest son, Michael, his girlfriend and 2 of my Grandchildren came to visit and brought my middle son, Adam his Birthday cards and presents. Adam is 19 years old today :)
"Happy Birthday Baby"

I will list my jobs for tomorrow.

I have printed my before photo's. That is the last time I will have a photo taken of me looking like that!!

It has been more of a Winters day today with strong winds and rain...WE LOVE IT!

Okay then, I will be back tomorrow :)

Weight Watchers Haul

My lovely hubby popped into the local Weight Watchers meeting for me so I could stock up. I will put a photo here later today.

I have lost 2  3/4lb this week which I am surprised about because I have eaten a few bags of chip shop chips over this last week, it will probably catch up with me in my next weight in...I HOPE NOT THOUGH!!.
When my hubby and sons want chippy chips they wont have any unless I have a bag also so I feel forced to have a bag so I don't disappoint them, but I have now impressed on my hubby that this is spoiling my tracking for me sometimes, I have to say also that chippy chips don't always agree with me, so not haven't them is a win win situation for me. I know that allowing them to eat more than the occasional bag of chippy chips is not good for them so I have told them that they can't have any more for a good while. I have stocked up on a few groceries this morning and I will be making them proper meals.

*UPADTED*
Here is my Weight Watchers haul photo.

When I got up this morning I coloured my hair; the grey was shinning through quite nicely...NOT! I don't like to see my grey.

I have been jotting food meal idea's down when I see them for when I am stuck for something to make for one of my meals, I think this will be quite useful.

I have been going through my exercise DVD's and I have quite a few that I want to start doing, so watch this space...WooHoo.

Well that is from me for today. I will be back tomorrow.

Staying On Track

I am staying on track although not with the best food choices but on track nonetheless.

I was woken up by the usual sound of two dogs barking a few doors down. The woman who owns the dogs allows her dogs to start barking in her garden from around 6.30am-ish most mornings including weekends. No-one seems to have any consideration for anyone else around here. When we first moved here it was bliss but over the years inconsiderate folk have moved in around us.

I had my usual morning shower and I also done a face scrub. I am slowly starting to get msyelf back on track with my rota's also...very happy about that :)

Photo's

This is what I asked my hubby to get for me from the local Weight Watchers meeting. I am excited to try the marinade, and all I can say about the bars is...YUM! Is the only word for these. I think these are my favourites.

Fluff, now, I know this is NOT the best food choice in the world but we all know a little bit of what you fancy and all that! So I bought a jar of this for a wild treat thinking that is was going to cost me dearly in points but I was SOO surprised to see that it is ONLY 1pp per 2 tablespoons, well, how could I resist this for the OCCASIONAL treat!! All I have to do now is to not sit and eat the whole jar in one sitting whilst counting points with every tablespoon full, and yep, I could probably do that....SHOCK! But I wont!!!

This is my latest jewellery making haul. I now have so many idea's rattling around in my head, and I have made a few bits and pieces, not quite good enough to post photo's of yet. I have been making bits and pieces using the less valuable wires, stone/beads etc first and when I have mastered it to a BRILLIANT standard then I will be using the more precious gems.

Rubber block: this gives a different affect when hammering than what I get using the metal block
Square wire bending pliers for when I am using my square wire. I need to get the half round wire bending pliers but they were out of stock.

A close up photo of the latest two strands I bought:
40ct Amethyst Bicones
60ct Lemon Gold Colour Coated Pyrite Graduated Faceted gems.

I thought I would post this, a photo of the other side of the box for my multi cooker showing the features.
I am rather impressed with this.

Well I will be back tomorrow.

Weight Watchers & More Shopping

I have been terrible with my tracking over this last week or so and basically just eaten what I want when I want. Once I go off track I find it so difficult to get back on track but as of yesterday, 1st August I am there, back on track!! WOOP!
I just can't allow myself to not portion control, point everything and not eat the right things because over the last fews years I have gradually got heavier and heavier and I just can't do that because I can clearly see myself spiralling completely out of control and being so large...this scares me SO MUCH! I have never been as heavy as I am now at 15st 2lb. My heaviest was 15st 3lb and I just know that if I don't do something serious about it NOW I am going to deeply regret it!!

I am back up to 29 daily pro points and 49 weekly pro points for extra's if needed.

Yesterday's food menu:

Breakfast
40g Speical K = 4pp
1 Mullerlight Yogurt = 2pp

Lunch
2 Peaches = 0pp
1 square Green & Blacks chocolate = 1pp

Dinner
1 bag Chip shop chips = 16pp
2 white chocolate Bubble snack bars = 4pp

Snack/Evening
1 cup of drinking chocolate = 3pp

Total spent = 30pp
1 pp over

Anyway, my buys. I got another surprise box a few days ago. I subscribed to the 'Degusta' box which is a monthly thing and is full of food and drink things. All pointed by me I might add.

Popcorn
Blueberry Cider
Zeo soft drinks
Maggie cook/roasting bag in seasonings/flavourings
Green & Blacks chocolate
Dr Oetker cake decorations
Recipe card with 2 recipe's

I spotted a few items in Aldi's when I was there on Tuesday that I couldn't resist. I don't go spending every day, I seem to buy a good few things in bursts :)

A multi cooker and WOW! This thing is FABULOUS!! It is a pressure cooker and everything cooker.
I have cooked rice in it up to now but I have a lot of things that I want to cook in it. It was only £34.99 I have seen multi cookers without the pressure cooker for much more than this....I had to get it while I could. There was this one and another which had already been opened, so of course I bought the multi cooker that hadn't been opened.

Accessories that came with the multi cooker.

Here you can read everything that this multi cooker can do.

Brownie Maker
I also saw this and thought it would be good for portion control when making brownies or other cake/dessert items. It has the separating part inside.

And it is PINK.

Last but not least, Sundae glasses for when I get on and use my 'Dessert Bullet' and make my icecreams

Well that is my latest spend except for today when I asked my darling hubby to pop to a local Weight Watchers meeting for me for a few items. I will post pictures.
