Weigh In

Doing a happy dance....Another 2lb gone....happy with that! I could definitely have done better this last week but I did use some of my weekly 49 allowed points but if I hadn't then more would have been gone, but 2lb gone is EXCELLENT!! That is 5 and a 1/4lbs gone in total...not bad!! Another 6lb to lose then I will have reached my first target of 5% of my body weight gone.

I won an auction on Ebay for some 'Weight Watchers' products. My hubby kindly went to collect them for me :) I wont drive long distances, well, actually our son, Michael done the driving, he and his Dad will drive anywhere but Michael often does the driving. My hubby and our 3 sons all went to collect the items for me and this gave me the day to myself and to catch up on a few things.
On the way back from collecting my 'Weight Watchers' items my boys had to pee, so they went into a field and done what they had to do but little did they know...until they were coming back out from behind the hedge in the field that there was a sign telling people to,'beware! Bull in field'....OOoops! They were all okay which is the main thing, the daft things.

This little lot included the following:
20 'Weight Watcher' magazines - There were 17 but the lady found an extra 3 more for me:)
Members Favourites Recipe Book (over 70 recipes)
20 Poultry Recipe laminated cards
20 Vegetarian Recipe laminated cards
20 Christmas Recipe laminated cards
117 Your Week leaflets given out a meetings - There were 84 but the lady found an extra 33 for me:)
Gregg's Smart Cooking Booklet
Summer Survival Guide
Shelina's Kitchen Extra - The lady found this also and put it into the box.
My Gold Diary

All excellent condition, nothing cut out or written in.

It was Mother Day here yesterday and my eldest son, Michael, his girlfriend and my Grandbabies brought me gifts:

Bunch of BEAUTIFUL flowers
2 Mothers Day cards; one from Michael and his girlfriend and one from my grandbabies to Granny..ME!!
A 'Mum's Memories' book which I have been filling in
A 'Me and Grandma' photo frame, I want a photo of me and all my grandbabies to put into it.
Mum's handcream
and a box of Hazelnut Pralines which I shared out...PHEW!

I will pass the, 'Mum's Memories' book back to Michael in future years, and of course when I get a photo of myself and my grandchildren then I will pass that back to them also.

Our middle son, Adam also bought me a salad from him for Mothers Day :)..BLESS him! James is young yet to bother with Mothers Day :) He is 14 years old, infact, James said, "We should have a Son's day" His Dad's reply to that was, "Do you not think you get enough?"....heehee

Nytol

I woke up this morning with a bruise under my left eye. I googled as to why this could be, I read that if it is sore to the touch then it has been some sort of blow but I don't have pain to it when I touch it so I googled some more and all I could find out was that I could be allergic to something. I took a Nytol last night for the first time ever so maybe there was something in that that I might be allergic to. I also googled as to whether it is safe to take Nytol whilst taking Citralopram (anti depressants) and there is a conflict so I wont take any more until I have spoken with my doctor.

1tb low fat mayonnaise

I want to lose a total of 7stone so I am giving myself plenty time. I am 50 years old in 20 months and although I always said I don't want to be fat and forty I actually ended up gaining weight throughout my 40's, so now I am vowing to NOT be fat and 50, so 20 months it is to get to goal weight.

Here are a few photo's of my latest buys.

A Quesadilla Maker. I am so pleased with this. These are an American machine and are as near as impossible to buy in this country.

An inside view of the Quesadilla maker. I first noticed this machine on a ladies vlog on You Tube.

Weigh In

Over the last week I have guesstimated my points allowance from my previous years of 'Weight Watchers', I also used the online calculator.
I stepped on my scales this morning which incidentally are also 'Weight Watchers' weighing scales and I am happy to report that I have had a loss of 3lb.....WooHoo.

I have now started the 'Weight Watchers Simple Start' programme as of today which I will be doing for the week, then from next week I will be doing my own pointing using my 'Weight Watchers' calculator that I received in my 'Weight Watchers At Home' premium pack. I also bought the food scales which I am pleased about because there are a few recipe's I want to try but I will have to point the ingredients, I will post the recipe's on here of course.

I am hoping to maybe lose another 3 - 4lb by next Monday's weigh in...that would be good!

Breakfast
Banana
2 WW Medallions of bacon
1 slice of WW bread

Lunch
2 slices of WW bread
1 Egg, boiled
Tomato, diced
1 tsp low fat Mayonnaise
It stated that yogurt was to be used instead of the mayo but I seriously couldn't stomach yogurt mixed with egg and tomato so a scant teaspoon of very low fat mayonnaise was what I used.

Dinner
1 Chicken Breast, baked
New Potatoes, cubed, boiled, sprayed with garlic spray and roasted
2 Bananas
2 tsp reduced fat Peanut butter - not on Simple Start but I've had no treats today.

That is me for today as far as meals go.

*UPDATE*
I have just updated my 'Weight Watchers' Pro Points calculator and already I have gone down a daily point allowance going from 29 points per day to 28 points per day....Humph....all good though :) because I have gone down into the next stone in weight from the 15st into the 14st's....that will do me......WooHoo

I haven't been anywhere today, I've just done some housework; my housework rota. I am going to do more jobs from today's housework rota before it gets too late, any I don't get done today gets added onto my tomorrows rota, I do like to keep the house clean! It makes me feel so much better!! :)

Back tomorrow with photo's of my latest deliveries

WW At Home

My 'Weight Watchers' order has just arrived this afternoon....WooHoo I have loads to read. Now I can get into the NEW 'Weight Watchers' programme. I am very pleased because it has all changed since the last time I followed 'Weight Watchers'

I ordered the, 'At Home' pack which includes the book, pedometer and calculator. I also ordered the scales and the 'Simple Start' kit.

Above is the, 'Simple Start' kit.

Since deciding to get back into 'Weight Watchers' and until I received my 'Weight Watchers At Home' pack I have been keeping to some sort of points system using an online calculator which is probably not a UK version, I don't know but either way I have been eating smaller portions and sort of pointing it, I also remembered some of the points values of foods from my earlier Weight Watchers years, actually I started Weight Watchers way back in 1993 when it was still the selections.

With each passing weight gain over the years I have vowed that I would NOT get to the next stone up and that has been exactly what I have done, so now I am vowing to myself to get to the next stone below until I reach goal....reverse psychology on myself :)

I started a new craft/hobby last year which is making jewellery, and for making chain maille and securing jump rings I needed something to help with that so I bought and received this today, a Versatip.

I have ended up having a rather nice day today with my parcel deliveries, we all LOVE receiving parcels!!
I am going to create a piece of jewellery to do with 'Weight Watchers', just as a reminder to myself every day that I am eating healthy :)

Back later today or tomorrow with my menu's.

Odd Coincidence

I am sitting here typing this and I can feel my feet and calves swelling up. I can feel them pulling when I move my feet up or down. This sort of thing NEVER used to happen to me but as my husband tells me, I was never this old......BAH! But it isn't down to age...is it? I don't think so, I of course put it down to my diet! That certainly sounds nearer the mark.

On an earlier post here dated Monday 28 July 2008 I stated that if I wasn't following 'Weight Watchers' and managing to at least maintain my weight then goodness knows how big I would be, well, I feel that I know how big I would be because I stopped following the 'Weight Watchers' plan and I am that big now... but how big I hear you ask? Well that is yet to come because I am not doing my official weigh in until I receive my 'Weight Watchers At Home' pack, actually, I am thinking of doing my official weigh in as of tomorrow and sort out 'Weight Watchers' recipes online until my 'Weight Watchers At Home' pack arrives.

Over the last few years I have been trying to follow a raw diet which is just THE BEST for anyone! But I was eating raw, then not...yo yoing and I have ended up being the biggest I have EVER been and I don't like it!! The list of health problems I have now accumulated is ridiculous, not because of eating raw but because of not being consistent and always the, "I'll start tomorrow" syndrome, and I also missed certain foods. I am not completely abandoning raw because after doing a little research into the new 'Weight Watchers' plan I see that fruits and veg are free so this will enable me to still have green juice, smoothies etc etc and definitely salads etc but I just want to be able to eat what I want and still become healthy and slim.

I do think that eating raw does cost a bit more, well, it certainly did for me because I had that "starting afresh eating raw foods with GUSTO!" approach every month when I done the big grocery shop and inevitably by the end of that month so much of it ended up in the bin...what a waste!

I done my big monthly grocery shop on Friday and I shopped for foods that are everyday, and of course I bought fruits and veg but not in bulk any longer.
I had decided the night before doing the grocery shopping that I was going to follow 'Weight Watchers' again and that I was going to purchase the 'Weight Watchers At Home' pack the next day, which I did and by strange coincidence when we went to Asda for the main groceries there in the foyer were two women handing out 'Weight Watchers' products for free, I have NEVER seen 'Weight Watchers' staff in Asda foyer before, I feel that Weight Watchers was calling out to me and they just happened to be there that day at that time. We had only been in the store less than about 5 minutes and I could see through the doors that the ladies had already packed up and left....very odd! I no sooner got there, immediately saw them, spoke to them, received freebies and they had left.

Free 'Weight Watchers' products

After Asda we went to one of our monthly favourite shopping places, 'Costco'. I have to confess to just eating absolute rubbish since Friday including these:

Costco do a lot of American sizes and believe me, those naughties are American sizes, they are huge cupcakes and cookies. I have also been eating sausage rolls, chips, pastries etc, nothing healthy or low fat, well, we probably all have huge blowouts before starting a new eating plan.

I am going to add a few pages to this blog but for now that is me.
I hope you enjoy reading and continue to enjoy reading about my 'Weight Watchers' journey, and I welcome any comments!

I will be back tomorrow. Night night for now.
